19T. Jacob Peterson - 13 (N/A) - A career year from "The Answer" in his final year in Kansas City sees Jacob Peterson make his way onto the list. Proving able to help take some of the goal scoring load off of Dom Dwyer in 2016. Peterson scored six goals, the second most on the team in 2016.
Dom Dwyer jumped up four more places in 2016 and became only the second player in club history to score 50 league goals for KC. Elsewhere, Benny Feilhaber jumped up three more spots and is closing in on the top 10, only two goals behind Graham Zusi for that spot. The most surprising of the moves came at the bottom of the list, where Jacob Peterson set a career high for goals, joining the list in a tie for 19th with Matt McKeon, Jose Burciaga Jr, Sasha Victorine, and Claudio Lopez. As for who could make the list in 2017, unless someone comes in and blows up, a new player joining the list seems unlikely. The highest currently active player not in the top 20 is Ike Opara, who has scored just six goals, followed by Lawrence Olum with five.
Here are the remaining players currently on KC that have scored goals.
Ike Opara - 6
Lawrence Olum - 5
Kevin Ellis - 5
Roger Espinoza - 4
Matt Besler - 3
Diego Rubio - 1
Jimmy Medranda - 1
