There are reports out of Italy today that Sporting Kansas City could have a new addition coming in soon. Reports are that former Juventus youth player, Fausto Rossi has left for the United States to sign with Sporting KC.
The 25 year old Rossi started his career in Juventus' youth system before moving to Vicenza at the age of 19. After a couple seasons there, Rossi returned to Juventus, but never made a senior appearance for the club, instead spending the next four years on loans to teams in Italy's (Brescia Calcio and Pro Vercelli) and Spain's (Real Valladolid, Cordoba CF) second divisions. He has also been a member of the Italian national team at the youth level.
While the transfer window is currently closed to acquire players who are currently under contract with clubs, the roster freeze for MLS teams is not until the 15th of September. Rossi by the looks of it became a free agent on July 1st after his contract with Juventus expired, which would mean that he could still sign for Sporting before the roster freeze. It appears that he can play both as an attacking midfielder as well as defensively. It'd be an interesting addition, despite not making it on Juventus' first team, he's regularly played for every team he's gone on loan with so far in his career.
UPDATE: Rossi has also posted a picture on Instagram showing his plane ticket to Kansas City.

Do you know if this has any bearing on when/if Benny could make a move? Is the Israel option really off of the table?
I think it's part of just hedging bets in case Benny is gone next year. I doubt Shiva is going to up their bid considering Feilhaber is in the last few months of his deal. Technically if they really want him he could sign a pre-contract with them right now.
His Wikipedia Picture = if Dom & Benny had a baby.
Moop? Is that you?
That's a spicy meatball.
