Nemeth Named to Euro Squad - Former SKC Wizards Update

The 2016 European Championship kicks off in a little more than a week in France with their newly expanded tournament. This year 24 teams will compete in the tournament and it's brought out some new and unlikely teams qualifying like Iceland and Albania. It has also seen Hungary qualify for their first major championship since the 1986 World Cup and their first Euros since 1972. Included in the squad for this year's tournament is former Kansas City forward, Krisztian Nemeth. After leaving Kansas City for Qatar, Nemeth has done quite well for Al-Gharafa, scoring seven goals in just 10 appearances since making the move. Hungary will start the tournament on June 14th against Austria before playing Iceland on the 18th and closing group play against Portugal on the 22nd.

Here is this rest of this week's update.

  1. France is my favorite team. But I will be cheering for Hungary and Nemeth after. I watched a few of their qualifiers. They are a good team. Could advance out of group. Nemeth doesn't always start, but usually plays.
