The Swope Park Rangers added two more players to their roster bringing their total to 17 ahead of their first season. The Rangers added midfielder Tomas Granitto and defender Jimmy Mulligan. The pair had been with SPR throughout preseason in Tucson.
Granitto comes to the Rangers having spent last season with FC Edmonton where he played for the Eddies. The 22 year old has also played in his native El Salvador for Firpo. He also scored for the Rangers in their 2-2 draw with the Columbus Crew during the Desert Diamond Cup.
Mulligan comes to the Rangers on loan from NASL champions, the New York Cosmos. He made five league appearances last year in the Cosmos run to the NASL title. Before that he'd played at St. John's and with the Long Island Rough Riders of the PDL.
The pair put the Rangers closer to a full roster, at least for game days, add in the probable loans coming in and there may not be many roster spots left for players.
