A couple days ago it was announced that Sporting KC midfielder, Soni Mustivar would be joining up with the Haitian national team ahead of their upcoming World Cup qualifiers. Today it was announced that three more Sporting KC players will be representing their country next week during the international break.
Sporting KC's captain, Matt Besler is back with the US national team for the beginning of their World Cup qualifying campaign next week. The US will begin play in Group 3 on Friday the 13th in St. Louis at Busch Stadium when they take on St. Vincent and the Grenadines, the second game will occur four days later on the 17th in Port of Spain as the US take on Trinidad and Tobago. The last team in the USA's group is Central American side, Guatemala. Besler will look to add to his total of 27 caps, which is currently second on the team among active players for caps behind teammate Graham Zusi.
Also in World Cup qualifying, Marcel de Jong will be joining back up with Canada as they continue their World Cup qualifying campaign. Canada begins play hosting Honduras on November 13th in Vancouver before traveling to San Salvador to take on El Salvador. The final team in Canada's Group 1 is Mexico.
The final call up for Kansas City is Krisztian Nemeth who has been called up by Hungary for their UEFA Euro 2016 playoff against Norway. After finishing third in Group F in qualifying, Hungary just missed out on qualifying automatically as the best third place team. Unfortunately since they finished one point behind Turkey in that regard, Hungary now go into the playoffs. Hungary will play the first leg, in Oslo, Norway on Thursday, November 12th and then host the return leg in Budapest on Sunday the 15th. The winner of the head to head series will qualify for the Euros. Hungary is looking to qualify for their first major tournament since the 1986 World Cup.
