Sporting Kansas City announced the make-up date for last Saturday's scheduled game against the Colorado Rapids. The game, which had been canceled due to weather on Saturday night, will now be made up on Wednesday October 21st at 7:30pm.
The game now falls between Sporting KC's last road trip of the season and their last home game. Sporting will be on the road Friday, October 16th in San Jose to take on the Earthquakes. After traveling back home and playing the Rapids on the 21st, KC ends the season at home on Sunday the 25th against the LA Galaxy.
The Rapids meanwhile are off the weekend before the game, playing October 10th at home against the Montreal Impact in their last game before the trip to KC. They end their season on the road on the 25th as well with a trip to Portland.
One question after the cancellation of the game would be the roster that had been handed in for the game. Since the game had not officially started but rosters had been handed in, there were questions on whether KC and Colorado would be forced to use the same 18 they had submitted for the game on Saturday. There was confirmation today that the teams will be able to choose a new 18 man roster for the game. That's good news for KC which should be able to count on the list of Graham Zusi and Roger Espinoza being back and available for that game.
