Does Sporting Have Their New Goalkeeper?

Reports out of Chile have Sporting KC set to sign a new goalkeeper. That goalkeeper is Luis Marin. The 31 year old has been playing with Club Universidad de Chile on loan since 2013 from O'Higgens FC of Chile. Universidad is one of the top teams in Chile, having won the 2014 Apertura this year. Marin has also been capped for his national team, playing eight times for Chile. He had been on Chile's provisional roster for the 2010 World Cup in South Africa.

At 31, he's at the prime age for a goalkeeper, which should suit Kansas City perfectly. He can come in and be the starter here and hopefully in the next two years begin to get pushed by KC's homegrown goalkeeper, Jon Kempin.

Sporting still has one more spot for a goalkeeper on their roster. The likelihood is that it's either a cheap veteran or a rookie right out of college in my opinion.
