Time to bring back these posts so that in the final month of the season there's an idea of where Sporting stands and what would be the best thing to help KC on getting into the playoffs and getting the highest seed possible.

A Philadelphia win would put them on 41 points and tied for the 5th and final playoff spot in the East. That 41 points is just 4 points behind Sporting's current point total of 45. So the fewer teams that can catch KC and the further away KC is from the playoff line, the better. A Fire win would keep their slim playoff hopes alive, as they play their first of three games in nine days that ends at Sporting Park next Friday. So having the Fire winning this game and keep them pushing for a playoff spot could make for tired legs come the end of this stretch in KC, which could be a boost for Sporting.
