We're less than a week away from the Champions Shield match up between Sporting Kansas City and Manchester City at Sporting Park, and today, the EPL champions announced their travel roster for the game. Unfortunately for a lot of people, there's going to be disappointment as none of City's 10 players that were at the World Cup are on the roster. Those players don't look like they'll join the club until after the game with KC so no Joe Hart, no Yaya Toure, and no Sergio Aguero along with others.
That's certainly going to be a big talking point for a lot of people that bought tickets hoping to see big name players that played during City's run to the EPL title. Less than half of the roster (11 of the 23) played in the Premier League last season. For me there are really only nine names on the roster that stick out to me as names that I really recognize.
The names on the roster really aren't going to be those that really move tickets much. And while sales look better than they earlier this week, there still appears to be a number of tickets available for the game.
