Oklahoma City picked up their first home win in franchise history last week, a 1-0 win over the New York Red Bulls reserves. Loaned Sporting KC midfielder, Christian Duke picked up the assist on the lone goal of the game in second half stoppage time, finished by former KC midfielder, Michael Thomas. Duke played the full 90 minutes for the Energy. At the other end of the field, KC's other player loaned to OKC, Jon Kempin picked up his second shutout of the season in the win.
KC's other affiliate, Orlando City continues to stay at the top of the league, still undefeated on the season after beating the Charleston Battery 2-0. Sporting KC midfielder, Mikey Lopez continues to contribute off the bench for the Lions, coming on for Corey Hertzog in the 70th minute with OCSC, playing the final 20 minutes.
This week, OKC head to the East Coast for a pair of games against Wilmington on Friday and Charlotte on Saturday night. Orlando City remains at home with just a single game this weekend, taking on the Montreal Impact reserves on Saturday.
