Sunday After Stats

In the 78th minute, Seth Sinovic hit the 10,000 minute mark in all competitions for his MLS career, he finished the game with 10,013 minutes played.

Teal Bunbury's appearance was his 100th appearance in all competitions in his MLS career. He's the 32nd player to hit that mark for KC.

Graham Zusi's assist was his 18th game winning assist for KC in all competitions, tying him with Chris Klein for the second most in team history.

In the 71st minute, Zusi passed Bo Oshoniyi and moved into 20th place for minutes played in all competitions for KC. Zusi finished the game with 9,701 minutes played.

Jimmy Nielsen made his 125th league appearance for KC, tying him with Tony Meola for 12th all time, and the most appearances by a goalkeeper for KC.

It was also Nielsen's 125th league start for KC, tying him with Meola for 12th all time on that list as well, again the most for a goalkeeper for KC.

Matt Besler made his 124th league appearance, breaking his tie with Chris Brown for 14th on that list.

Besler also made his 136th start in all competitions for KC, breaking his tie with Diego Gutierrez for 13th on that list.

  1. For a team that has won the most games in MLS (9) in the past 15 game and leads the league in points per game, it's oddly unsettled and unsettling as a fan.

    SKC haven't started the same XI in consecutive games since Columbus 6/29 and Vancouver (7/3).

    It's not just consecutive lineups: they've fielded 13 different lineups in the past 13 games...

    I can't think of a team this good that has ever changed it up that much going into the playoffs.
