Yesterday the Missouri Comets announced that they had re-signed three more players from last year's team ahead of the start of this season. They announced that Vahid Assadpour, Stefan St. Louis, and Danny Waltman were all returning to the team. Combine this with the recent announcements on the return of Coady Andrews and Milan Ivanovic along with Bryan Perez and the new signing of Alex Megson and the roster is filling in for the Comets. Also according to their website, Ramone and Robert Palmer (unrelated) are also returning and defender Andre Braithwaite is also listed. That would put the Comets with 10 players on their roster currently ahead of the 2013-2014 season which kicks off in a little over a month on November 16th.
There are still some holes that Missouri will likely be looking to fill. Megson likely will be looked upon to help fill the void left by Byron Alvarez. Meanwhile, the Comets also have to fill two defensive voids. Jeff Hughes has signed for San Diego in the PASL and Ryan Junge has retired. There has also been no announcement one whether or not Brian Harris will return to the team this year. Missouri is likely still looking to fill roles in all positions on the field at this point at time. They have invited 8 players from last weekend's open tryouts to their invitational tryout at the end of this month.
