We're coming up upon another international break with another round of World Cup qualifiers coming up. Sporting looks set for a few players for qualifiers, but the first two announced players are for a friendly. Mechack Jerome and Peterson Joseph have been called up for Haiti for their friendly against Korea on September 6th. The two will miss Sporting's game on September 7th against Columbus at Sporting Park.
That means that Joseph will miss the next two league games for Sporting KC. He's already missing KC's game this weekend against Colorado due to yellow card suspension. So his next potential match for the club will be KC's next Champions' League game against Real Esteli on the 17th of September.
These though are the first of a few call ups for Sporting KC in the September FIFA date. Matt Besler and Graham Zusi both seem likely to be called up for the US team for games against Costa Rica and Mexico. Meanwhile Sierra Leone has a World Cup qualifier against Equatorial Guinea that could seem Kei Kamara called up, but the Leone Stars are eliminated from World Cup qualifying so maybe he stays with KC. The other potential call up is Soony Saad who could be called up for a pair of friendlies for Lebanon against Syria and Qatar. The game against Columbus could certainly contain a number of reserves if all are called up and accept the calls.
