The Missouri Comets today announced that they have a new head coach. Vlatko Andonovski, the team's assistant coach the last few years has been named the team's new head coach. Andonovski replaces Kim Rontved, who had coached the team since their rebirth in 2010. Andonovski will now pull double duty as head coach of both the Comets and FC Kansas City.
The team also announced today the addition of a new assistant coach, Goran Karadzov. Karadzov is a former Macedonian national team player who coached with Andonovski on FC Kansas City and also coached at Blue River Community College.
In their announcement today, the Comets make no mention of the reason that Rontved is not back as coach. There's been no mention of Rontved being fired, retiring, or his contract not being renewed.
