MLS' disciplinary committee came out today with suspensions and fines from this past weekend's game ahead of tomorrow's slate of games. Unfortunately for Sporting KC, they'll be without Paulo Nagamura now for tomorrow's game against the Seattle Sounders. Nagamura was retroactively suspended for stepping on Edgar Mejia's fingers in the 52nd minute of Sporting's 4-0 win on Sunday.
The question will be who KC will insert in Nagamura's spot. Is KC going to go with Sunday's lineup, just inserting Benny Feilhaber for Nagamura and sliding Peterson Joseph back? Or does Peter Vermes change things up and possibly drop Graham Zusi back to midfield.
Seattle though avoided further absences as Eddie Johnson did not face action for his knee to Antoine Hoppenot's chest in second half stoppage time. The disciplinary committee's actions just always seem to not be consistent in action, the same is true for KC as I thought Claudio Bieler would have been suspended at least once for elbows in games for KC this year.
See both plays in the video below.
