Another set of stat updates. This one is the youngest and oldest players to appear in a game for Sporting KC through their history.
First the youngest players to appear in a league game for Sporting KC, using a player's first appearace for the club, here's a list of the 10 youngest players to ever play a league game for Sporting. In 2012, Oriol Rosell joined the list with his first appearance for the club, a substitution appearance against DC. Here's the rest of the list.

When it comes to starting a league game, Soony Saad got his first league start this year, become the 3rd youngest player to start a game, and the 3rd teenager to start a game for Sporting KC. Oriol Rosell also once again joined the list, a little bit higher on the list when it comes to starting, making his first start in September in Montreal. In all competitions, two players joined the list this year. Jon Kempin became the youngest player to have their debut for Sporting be a start as he started in goal in Sporting's Open Cup qin over Orlando. Rosell also joined the list for all competition appearances.

When it comes to potential players joining the list in 2013. Kempin could join the list for league appearances and starts if he plays in a league game for KC. Mikey Lopez is the only player on the roster who could join the list in 2013.
At the other end of careers, Jimmy Nielsen made his way into the top 10 for the oldest to appear in a game for Sporting KC. When it comes to new players joining the oldest player list in 2013, there is no player currently on the roster that will make their way onto the list at this time. There will just be Nielsen moving higher up the list. Nielsen should finish the season at number 3 baring an injury or complete loss of form that sees him lose his starting spot.
