It's national signing day. And usually that's a big thing for college football as high school seniors can sign their national letters of intent for college for the next year. And while that's big news in the college world, it's becoming bigger news for Sporting. As the developmental academy continues to bear fruit in regards to players going on and signing to play soccer at the collegiate level. Today 9 Juniors signed their letters. Six of those Juniors are moving on to play division 1 soccer, another to division 2 and 2 more to the junior college ranks.
Joe Amico is heading to Central Florida, Matt Bernard is heading to Drake University, Darby Cronin and Wes White are heading to UMKC, Seo-In Kim signed to play at Duke, and Adam Lightner is going to Northern Illionis (whose brother is at Dayton) are Sporting's division 1 representatives this year.
In division 2, Paul Dean is heading to Rockhurst. While in the junior college ranks, Rene Rodriguez and Christian Verduzco are both going to Dodge City Community College.
Congrats to all the players on signing their letters of intent and good luck to them in college.
