To start off my look at player stats for the offseason. First a look at the 10,000 minute club.
In league play, no new players joined the club this year. Like last year, Matt Besler is the closest one to join this list, just over 1,000 minutes away from the mark. Jimmy Nielsen at 8,437 also has a very good shot at making the mark in the 2013 season. Depending on playing time, Kei Kamara also stands a good shot, currently sitting on 7,887 minutes for KC. Michael Harrington jumped up the list in his last season in KC despite playing limited minutes. He went from 12th to 9th. Here's the 12 players currently in the club.
1. Kerry Zavagnin - 20,516
2. Nick Garcia - 20,158
3 Davy Arnaud - 19, 399
4. Jimmy Conrad - 18,194
5. Preki - 17,818
6. Chris Klein - 16,381
7. Jack Jewsbury - 13,275
8. Mo Johnston - 12,600
9. Michael Harrington - 11,633
10. Matt McKeon - 11,584
11. Josh Wolff - 11,467
12. Tony Meola - 11,331
In all competitions, there was one addition to the list, as Besler made his way onto the list joining the club. There are four players that could also potentially join the list in the 2013 season. Jimmy Nielsen is less than 1,000 minutes from joining the club at 9,277. Kei Kamara is just over 1,000 minutes at 8,875 minutes played. The other two, Chance Myers (7,469) and Graham Zusi (7,299) would need to play the majority of minutes next year for them to get into the club. Besler joins the list with 10,377 minutes for KC while the departing Harrington finished his career in 11th with 13,276 minutes played. Here's the full 16 player list.
