Let the Rumors of New Players Begin

When Sporting is out of season it seems like there's always more news out there than during the season, specifically with rumors of players coming in or possibly leaving.  Today the rumor is of a trialist out of South Africa that is going to be coming to KC.  Word is that South African international, Elrio van Heerden is going to come to KC on trial.  The 29 year old van Heerden has spent the majority of his career in Europe, playing in Denmark, Belgium, and Turkey before most recently playing with Lamontville Golden Arrows of the South African league.  The midfielder has appeared 37 times for his country, scoring 3 goals, including playing in two African Cup of Nations and the Confederations Cup in 2009.

Honestly I'd never heard of this guy before, which is usually par for the course on players that KC is bringing in to trial with the team.  Below are some highlights I found online of van Heerden.
