Two midweek games this week, one has an effect on KC, the other has not effect at all for KC.
Philadelphia at Chicago
What we want to happen - Philadelphia win
This is the only one of the two games to mean anything for KC. This is the Fire's game in hand on KC. Currently sitting 5 points back of KC, a win would put the Fire back in second place in the East and only 2 points behind KC. A loss leaves them 5 points adrift with 3 games left. The Fire though haven't lost at home. The Union are out of the playoff hunt at this point, even though they still have 5 games left, they're 19 points out of the final playoff spot.
Chivas at Vancouver
What we want to happen - Doesn't matter
Chivas is at the bottom of the Western Conference, but is surprisingly still alive in the playoff race at this point, but that can end with a Vancouver win. The Whitecaps are sitting in the 5th spot in the West on 39 points and don't have the ability to catch KC on points. A meaningless game to KC.
