Last weekend of the regular season, Sporting KC has locked up the first seed in the East and second seed overall. Eyes for KC now turn to the playoffs and next Wednesday's play in game to see who KC will meet in the East semifinals. That will be decided today so let's take a look.
New York at Philadelphia
What we want to happen - Philadelphia win/draw
I like the way that KC matches up against New York, especially with a healthy Roger Espinoza. KC missed Espinoza in the match up the last time these two teams met up. The only goal New York scored on KC this season was an own goal. I would not hate a match up against the Red Bulls in the playoffs.
New England at Montreal
What we want to happen - doesn't matter
Neither team is in the playoffs.
DC at Chicago
What we want to happen - DC win
I'd rather DC have the advantage in the playoffs than the Chicago Fire. I'd like to avoid the Fire if we can, they have been a team that has always seemed to have KC's number, unless it's a cup final.
San Jose at Portland
What we want to happen - doesn't matter
This game doesn't matter to KC but with this game on NBC Sports and Chris Wondolowski going for the league record I'll enjoy watching.
Houston at Colorado
What we want to happen - Houston win
I want to avoid Houston at all costs. Dominic Kinnear always seems to come up with the perfect game plan to stop Peter Vermes and Kansas City. A win and the other results above would see them avoid the play in game which would be fine with me as it'd mean we'd be further away from playing them.
Vancouver at Salt Lake
What we want to happen - doesn't matter
Both teams are locked into their spots in the West.

I expecting that Chicago win. It is more interesting to play with a great team .
