Wigan Still After Espinoza
Roger Espinoza to Wigan was a big rumor in the final few days of the summer transfer window, with Espinoza being linked to join his countryman, Maynor Figueroa at the EPL club. The window though closed without a deal. News out of the UK today though is that Wigan boss, Roberto Martinez, is still trying to sign the midfielder after this season. With Espinoza out of contract, it's going to be a difficult task to hold onto him, his strong Olympic performance has put him firmly in the shop window for foreign clubs. I will find no fault in Espinoza for making the jump to Europe at the end of the season if there is a good deal in place for him. Robb Heineman has already said that they are going to try to keep the midfielder, so it sounds like it's going to be shaping up to be a busy winter of rumors.

He's gone and I'm happy for him.
A long ways from the buzz cut left midfielder.
