Rangers End Season with Loss
The Swope Park Rangers ended their reserve league season tonight down in Dallas with a 2-0 loss to FC Dallas. Dallas got two goals from home grown forward, Bryan Leyva as they cruised to the win after Dom Dwyer got sent off late in the first half for a second bookable offense. Leyva scored in the 34th and 79th minute to lead them to the victory. The loss was the Rangers' 4th straight in the reserve league, as they fell to 2-6-2 to end their season, with 8 points in the Mountain/Midwest division. It was also the 3rd straight game in which the reserves picked up a red card, previously Eric Kronberg and Jon Kempin have picked up red cards for KC. The reserves gave a start to U18 academy midfielder, David Leichty in the midfield and also allowed academy player Isai Gutierrez to get in the game. Also with the team were two Missouri Comets players as both John Sosa and Leo Gibson came on as second half subs for the reserves in the loss.
