Some quick Sporting KC player news for today.
Julio Cesar gets green card.
In the weekly news update that the team puts out, they announced that the team has opened up an international spot. The team announced that midfielder, Julio Cesar has received his green card. As a green card holder, Cesar will no longer take one of Kansas City's international spots. In the past Cesar has talked about coaching in the US when his playing career is done. Having a green card is a step in the right direction for doing that. Congrats to him.
Espinoza suffering from "muscular overload"
Roger Espinoza is in Miami for Honduras' training ahead of their friendly against Boca Juniors, but he's not going to play a part in the game now. Espinoza pulled out of training early due to "muscular overload." During today's press conference, Peter Vermes put it in more easily understandable terms saying: "I think that they realized everything that I realized, he’s played
enough games and it’s probably best to give him a little bit of a break
now that they see him there.”
It's a shame that it took Espinoza taking a flight down to Miami for his national team to realize this, but hopefully now Espinoza will get a little bit of a break and be able to re-charge his batteries ahead of KC's run in towards the end of the season and Honduras' World Cup qualifiers.

I can't seem to find a box score of the match between Honduras and Boca Juniors. Anyone else find it? Some photos on the Miami Herald web site made it almost look as if Roger might have played.
