The call ups continue for Sporting KC for international duty. Joining Graham Zusi and Kei Kamara on the list of players that have been called up to represent their national team is Roger Espinoza, who today was called up by the Honduran national team ahead of their games in the next few weeks. Espinoza is joined on the roster by another San Jose player, Víctor Bernárdez.
The Honduran team have 4 games during the stretch, friendlies this coming Saturday vs New Zealand, and on 6/2 vs El Salvador. They then have two World Cup qualifiers on 6/8 vs Panama and on 6/12 vs Canada. If he is away for the entire time, Espinoza would miss the league game on Sunday vs San Jose and potentially 2 US Open Cup games. Overall though it wouldn't surprise me if Espinoza skips out on the New Zealand friendly and reports after KC's game on Sunday against the Earthquakes.
The potential loss of those 3 though could be quite a blow for KC if all 3 are out against San Jose. While Kamara and Zusi haven't been playing the greatest during the losing streak, there's a drop off from them and a likely replacement, Kamara to Jacob Peterson or CJ Sapong (on the wing), Zusi to Luke Sassano, Bobby Convey, or Peterson Joseph.
That is of course if Peter Vermes sticks with the 4-3-3 while they are away. Honestly does anyone expect him to go away from that lineup? I really don't. But if he were I wouldn't be totally against switching to a 4-4-2, throwing Cesar and Nagamura in a dual holding role. Have Convey and Peterson, or maybe Joseph on the wing. And have Sapong partner Teal Bunbury in a 2 man forward line.

I've been curious to see Sapong underneath Bunbury for a long time now.
In which position is Saad training?
Always a good job right here. Keep rolling on trhoguh.
