Sporting KC announced another signing today, officially agreeing to terms with 1st round Supplemental draft pick, Shawn Singh to a contract. The UCLA product makes 29 players currently under contract right now. Although with Eric Kronberg currently on IR, they have 28 filled roster spots at the moment. That means KC has 1-2 roster spots open, until Birahim Diop heads out of town, which is likely only a matter of time before it happens.
Singh will provide more depth at the outside back position, along with starters Chance Myers and Seth Sinvoic, and back ups, Korede Aiyegbusi, Kevin Ellis, and Michael Harrington.

So why did Diop never show for training camp? He wants out? We want him out? If we don't want him why wait to cut him?
Because we think we can get something out of him from someone is my best guess.
