US Supporters Section Tickets for Sale for Olympic Qualifiers

This may seem a little preemptive, but the American Outlaws are selling tickets in the Supporters Section for the semifinals and finals of the Olympic qualifiers at LIVESTRONG Sporting Park on March 31st and April 2nd. The tickets are $30 for AO members and $35 for non-members. Season ticket holders for Sporting KC will also get a chance at a presale to purchase tickets for the games. But if you aren't a season ticket holder AO is probably the best way to go.

The US will kick off Olympic qualifying earlier in March in Nashville where they'll play Cuba (22nd), Canada (24th), and El Salvador (26th). The top two teams from that group will move on to Kansas City for the semifinals where they'll place one of two teams from the other group that plays in LA. Mexico, Honduras, Panama, and Trinidad and Tobago. So there is a chance the US won't make it to KC, but with the talent the U-23 team has they most definitely should.

The semifinal is actually going to be the bigger of the two games as the winners of the semifinals will qualify for the Olympic games in London this summer. The final is just the icing on the cake on Monday.

  1. I saw your name that you'll be playing at the Comets soccer game. I went to check your site and was shocked to see that it was a 'devoted' blog covering the KC Wizards. I'm not a soccer fan, and have never been to one of their games, but find it hard to believe it's a 'devoted' site when you don't have the name of the team correct, or a recent picture in their new stadium.

I know this would come across as offensive, I'm not one of your target audience people, but thought the tip might be useful.

  2. 1. I still consistently refer to the team as the Wizards, and will continue to do so, even if it's not the "official" name.

    2. It's in the works.

    3. Ask around and you're unlikely to find someone as devoted to the team as me.

  3. I understand I still consistently refer to the Tennessee Titans as the Houston Oilers

  5. At least Mike you should call them the SPorting Kansas City Wizards...to not recognize their real name after a full year seems just childish...following your logic you should really be calling them the Wiz!

  6. I do call them Sporting. I have toned down the use of Wizards quite a bit. I also use the SKC Wizards moniker quite often. I never said I only referred to them as the Wizards.
