Will Bravo be Back?

Personally I don't see a ton in this story, but it's been a major talking point the past few days. One of the team's designated players', Omar Bravo told Univsion this week that he had "a lot to think about" with regards to next season. Specifically Bravo was talking about last Sunday's conference final against Houston. Bravo spent the vast majority of the game on the bench before coming into the game in the 85th minute for Seth Sinvoic with KC down 1-0.

Plenty of fans questioned the lateness of the sub as well. Bravo tied with Teal Bunbury and Kei Kamara for the team lead in goals this year, but an injury kept the former Mexican international out of the entire series with Colorado. With Sporting beating Colorado comfortably, 4-0 on aggregate, it's not surprising that come the conference final that Bravo found himself still on the bench. With KC down 1-0 for much of the second half, it was surprising that Peter Vermes didn't go to his bench quicker and look to add the Mexican to the offense. Instead Vermes first inserted Davy Arnaud, who while a good veteran presence, hasn't shown much going forward this year. Then later in the half Vermes puts in the Brazilian Jeferson, who outside of his first few appearances has shown little for the team.

Vermes denied that there's any issue between him and Bravo, but admits that the topic of playing time in the conference finals has not been a topic of conversation between the two as yet. As I said earlier though, I don't think this is a big issue, Bravo and Vermes will smooth things over in the next few weeks and Bravo will be back with KC next year.
