A light Saturday for MLS games with the international games going on, but there are two games in league play today. Only one though will have any effect on KC's season, but it could be a big effect.
New England vs San Jose
What we want to happen: We don't care.
Both teams are eliminated from playoff contention, so really this match means absolutely nothing for Sporting KC and their qualification process. It only really affects KC if key players end up missing later games where they play teams battling for a playoff spot (New England have Columbus and Toronto to end the season, San Jose have Seattle and Dallas).
Seattle vs Philadelphia
What we want to happen: Seattle win.
Yes I know everyone just cringed a little bit at the thought of cheering for the Sounders, it hurt me just as much to write that, but this is Philadelphia's game in hand. We don't want the Union catching or passing us with two games left in the season. They're only one point back of Kansas City right now in the log jam that is the top of the Eastern Conference right now. So we unfortunately have to cheer for the Rave Green tonight. Or if that makes you feel too dirty you could just cheer against the Union. It's going to be a tough night though, Seattle will be missing Fredy Montero due to suspension and Mauro Rosales and Alvaro Fernandez are likely to miss out due to injury.

and Phillys kickin their asses. next they host Toronto & visit ny. ugh.
Is it me, or does it seem like every time someone points out "what we want to happen" it goes the wrong direction.
I'm just saying you can't hope for things to go your way. The refs and our competitors have shown us that time and again.
