What We Want to Happen Today 10/6

So New York pulled out a win over LA on Tuesday night closing the gap on KC to only 2 points with two games to play. The game next weekend in KC is going to be huge. It's an absolute must win for KC if they want a top 3 spot. And while losing won't crush KC's playoff chances it certainly will not help. A win by KC would also clinch a playoff spot for Sporting KC.

Vancouver vs Real Salt Lake

What we want to happen today: Does not matter

Really this result doesn't matter much at all for KC, Vancouver is eliminated from the playoffs, and Real Salt Lake is firmly in 3rd place in the West. There's the possibility that Dallas could catch RSL, who is currently on 51 points. But that seems extremely unlikely. KC could catch RSL on points, but it would require KC winning out and RSL losing out, and if KC wins out they'll be guaranteed at least second place in the East depending on how Philly's game in hand plays out.
