So Sporting KC clinched their playoff birth last night, but there is still plenty to be decided heading into the final weekend for KC, specifically seeding. They are still trying to lock up a top 3 spot in the East and avoid the wild card round. They'll have their chance to lock the spot up next weekend against DC. Today there is one more MLS game, although it means little to Sporting KC at this point.
LA - Chivas
What we want to happen: doesn't matter
Chivas are eliminated from the playoffs, and LA has clinched the Supporters' Shield. But there is something in this game that could play out next week. LA closes the season against the Dynamo in Houston, so LA coming into that game wanting a good result could be very big in KC's hopes of clinching a top 3 spot. So if LA is looking towards their CCL game this week, they may play a depleted lineup today, and possibly look for a stronger lineup next weekend against the Dynamo.
