It's getting close to silly season again, the time for agents to make their money by getting players deals around the world. The rumors have started for potential incoming players this year. Rumors out of Sweden today are that Sporting KC and expansion side, Montreal, have shown interest in Swedish forward Jeffrey Aubynn currently with Malmo FF. Aubynn is a free agent after this year and would be available on a free transfer. The draw back is that the forward, who can also play center and left mid, is that he will be turn 35 early in the 2012 season. As a forward he's been decent but not prolific during his career scoring only 34 goals in league play. The Swede though has been capped 7 times by his national team.
In the end though I feel like while KC may have looked at him at one time, at this point this is likely just agent posturing since Aubynn is out of contract.

I'm gonna agree that this is pure nonsense for us. An aging striker on a team filled with youth, especially in the attacking part. Might work for Montreal but not for us, this isn't 1998 MLS after all.
