Last night Colorado defeated the Columbus Crew 1-0 at Dick's Sporting Goods Park, advancing to face KC in the Eastern Conference semi-finals. The game will kick off at 6:30 central time Sunday out in Denver. KC split the season series with Colorado, both on the backs of 1-1 draws. Colorado's goal scorer in both games was the now injured Conor Casey. For KC in the two games, they got one goal from the now gone, Ryan Smith and one from Graham Zusi. In both games against the Rapids, the Wizards had to come from behind, both times giving up a first half goal before equalizing in the second half. Hopefully on this trip to Colorado, Aurelien Collin won't have the brain fart passes he had a couple times in the game earlier this year that cost us 1 goal and nearly cost KC another.
The key to watch out for KC right now would seem to be Colorado's speed with Omar Cummings and Sanna Nyassi. They still have one big question remaining and that's the health and fitness of captain, Pablo Mastroeni, after he suffered a concussion a few weeks ago. If he can't go that's going to be a boost to KC.

This series is home and home with aggregate goals. Do you know if there is any regard to away goals, or, if the teams are tied at the end of the second game, does it go to overtime? If overtime, is it golden goal or two 15 halves? Thanks.

There is no regard to away goals. If tied on goals at the end of the second game, the teams will play two 15 overtime periods. There is no golden goal. If tied after overtime, they go to PKs.
I don't think any league uses the golden goal anymore.
Mike, any idea why there is so much time between the conference finals and the cup final?
