It's an international friendly weekend and of the three Sporting KC players with their respective national teams, two had their games tonight. Defender Shavar Thomas and Jamaica took on Ecuador in Quito today. Thomas went the full 90 minutes in Jamaica's 5-2 loss on the road where to MLS players, Omar Cummings and Ryan Johnson got the two goals for the Jamaican team.
Closer to home, tonight the US took on Costa Rica at the Home Depot Center. While the game is still going on at this point, Teal Bunbury is not playing a part in this game. Bunbury was not named to the 18 man roster for the game tonight. Hopefully Bunbury is in the plans for the game in Belgium, or he'd be better served staying in KC and sitting out his suspension on Monday against the Galaxy instead of having the site out the Houston game.
