Aurelien Collin made an interesting comment on Twitter the other day, saying that he is going to be an American citizen soon. It's an interesting comment and extremely odd at the same time. Collin hasn't spent near enough time in the country to be getting his citizenship. The more likely thing that is going on is that Collin is going to be getting his green card. When it comes to MLS roster regulations though, that's as good as citizenship. Any player with a green card no longer counts as an international player. That would give KC some room to move next year if they have that extra international spot.
In other news that affects Sporting KC, as I posted on Twitter yesterday, Landon Donovan will be available for this Monday's game. Donovan will only play for the US team in their friendly against Costa Rica tomorrow. He will then return to the Galaxy to prepare for the game in KC. It certainly changes the game plan if Donovan isn't in the lineup. The guy is a game changer and easily one of the best players in the league. He will cause plenty of problems for the KC back line.
