Back on the Road

After opening LiveSTRONG Sporting Park on Thursday night, Sporting KC heads back out onto the road for a game on Sunday against FC Dallas at Pizza Hut Park. Dallas comes into the game after defeating New England at home last weekend 1-0. The shutout was the 100th of Kevin Hartman's MLS career. Dallas has done well to recover from the loss of David Ferreira and is getting results to keep them in a good league position.

KC is in a bit of a roster crisis right now, with injuries, call ups, and suspensions, KC only had 19 available players for selection for this weekend's game. Joining the four Gold Cup players out of action are Omar Bravo and Ryan Smith who will both be unavailable apparently, and the suspended Jimmy Nielsen and Michael Harrington. Certainly some lineup changes are going to have to be made to the team ahead of tomorrow's game. The depth of the team is going to be tested greatly tomorrow.

Number to Remember - 1 - The number of goals scored by Sporting Kansas City players in the last 6 games (there was also an own goal in there). Seriously, one goal by a Sporting KC player in the last 6 games is pathetic. KC needs to find their scoring touch quickly, and badly or this season will get incredibly long.

Match Up to Watch - Luke Sassano vs Brek Shea - Shea has taken over more of the playmaking responsibilities since Ferreira has gone out, it'll be tough for Sassano to deal with the talented attacker.

PREDICTION - I want to have a positive outlook on this game, but I really can't. KC isn't that good, and is coming off short rest, playing back on the road, while Dallas has been playing well, and has more time off. I hope that KC can pull an upset, but I don't see it.
