New Trialist Sinisa Ubiparipovic

Yesterday on Twitter during the team's FIFA 11 tournament, Kei Kamara tweeted a post about one of the games featuring K-Rex (Korede Aiyegbusi) and Sunisa. No one currently on the roster had a name that sounded anything like that so I began to think it was a new trialist. My first guess was maybe former New York Red Bulls midfielder, Sinisa Ubiparipovic. I spent time searching the net trying to find a picture of Ubiparipovic that would show his tattoo that's in the picture, but didn't have much luck. I took a guess this morning that it was and had this confirmed by Kurt Austin, the team's press officer.

Ubiparipovic was waived by New York recently after playing 4 seasons with the MLS side. He played in 69 games, scoring 2 goals for the Red Bulls. It's an interesting selection and he was one of the few players available in the waiver draft that I thought would be a decent pick up for KC. It'll be interesting to see if KC signs him, he could come in and be a replacement for Jack Jewsbury at a cheaper price.

  1. upiarpovic and sassano ancored the redbulls midfield the previous couple years before this one when they were god awful... definetly not an upgrade over jewsbury, and im not the biggest jewsbury fan...

  2. Im also gonna say there looks to be some rumors that so us nats will be returning home this summer... just pure specualtion because of palying time... Benny Feilhaber, Demarcus Beasely, Micheal Parkhurst, and Eddie Johnson, who has been getting playing time with Preston, but looks to be on the way out of Fulham when his contract is up, I beleive these players will becoming to MLS. I would love to see all of these players in a wizrds uniform, as benny could be the #10 weve been looking for, Parkhurst could be the CB, Eddie Johnson, will find MLS defenses improved, but lower quality to what he has faced in England and should revatilize his career , and beasely, well, beasely is a wild card, with his injuries and recent form, but he still has the name demarcus beasely and was once one of the greatest talents us soccer ever produced, Convey has revitalized his career with San Jose, I would love to see Beasely back in MLS with the WIZ....

  3. Sorry Doc, you might be sick. Benny would be a good signing but Eddie Johnson needs to stay away. Parkhurst might not be bad but we already have one Beasley in town we don't need both.

  4. It doesn't matter anyways, each one of those players as returning national team players would likely have to go through the allocation process in which we are currently 8th I believe. So the teams above us would all have to pass on those players which isn't happening.

  5. Youre right about that allocation process mike, but Demerit didnt have to go through it nor did Kenny Cooper. Johnson will tear up the MLS... Im right about that, hes not national team quality level, but he is easily one of the top in MLS, some team will get what they paid for with him...

  6. Demerit and Cooper DID go through the allocation process that's why Vancouver and Portland are now at the end of the list for the allocation order.
