Former SKC Wizards Update

Here's another Former SKC Wizards update for you this week. The MLS season kicked off last night, which means that it's a new "season" for former SKC Wizards players. This year one player led most of the categories. Yura Movsisyan had the most appearances (41), most starts (35), most minutes (3,136), and goals (21) last season. That includes league, cup, and national team games. Second on all of those lists was Ryan Pore who had 34 appearances, 33 starts, 2,939 minutes, and 15 goals for the USL Portland Timbers. Matt Taylor and Abe Thompson both also hit double digits for goals (13 and 10 respectively). In the indoor game, Jamar Beasley had 20 goals while Pat Healey had 17 as the two leaders in the indoor game. For goalkeepers, Will Hesmer led the way with 10 shutouts, followed by Neal Kitson with 8. Hesmer also got himself a goal last year as well, not one of those things you see very often.

Now it's time for a new season. First for those wondering what Jose Burciaga Jr is up to, check out the latest What Ever Happened To... from MLSsoccer it's an interesting look at what happened after leaving MLS. Here's the rest of this week's update.
