Comets Add Scoring Threat
With the Missouri Comets still holding hopes of grabbing the third and final playoff spot in the MISL this year, the Comets have added some fire power up top. Today the Comets acquired forward Anthony Maher from the Chicago Riot. Maher returns to the Comets after having played with them for them previous, scoring 48 goals and 15 assists in less than two full seasons with the club. Previously, Maher had been playing with the Chicago Riot. Maher's first game with the Comets will be against his former side this Sunday at the Independence Event Center. The Comets will have an idea of what result they need to get as Omaha will have played Milwaukee on Friday. Comets fans will be rooting for the Wave in that game up in Omaha.
