SKC Wizards forward, Teal Bunbury and the MLS Generation Adidas team finished their trip to Spain undefeated today as they topped Athletico Madrid's reserves 4-1. Bunbury played a big role in the game today, scoring two goals and assisting on a third goal. Bunbury started the game on the bench and while the GA team played well they only scored once off a cross from FC Dallas player, Andrew Wiedeman that deflected off a Madrid defender and into the net for an own goal. Bunbury came off the bench at half time and made an immediate impact as he received a pass from Corben Bone and held off both of his defenders as he dribbled towards goal. Bunbury slipped a bit as he tried to cut back and it worked well in his favor as the two defenders over ran him, Bunbury was able to get up and slot the ball into the far corner doubling the GA team's lead. New York Red Bulls forward Juan Agudelo scored the third as Bunbury played a cross in to him that Agudelo settled, cut around the goalkeeper and slid the ball into the net. Bunbury finished the goal scoring for the GA team he was played through on goal by Baggio Husidic. Bunbury raced in on goal and beat the keeper near post to make it 4-0. Madrid earned a late PK as Jeremy Hall brought down his player in the box, although it was a little soft, Madrid buried the PK, but it wasn't enough as the GA team won 4-1. Bunbury finished the trip with 3 goals and an assist, and helped set up another goal as well. Strong performance by the GA team. See the highlights below.
