The Missouri Comets announced two more signings today for their team, both with ties to Kansas City and both should ring bells in the minds of soccer fans in this city. First the Comets have signed former Wizards goalkeeper, and Juniors goalkeeper coach, Boris Pardo. Pardo currently is likely to be the back up for Danny Waltman, who the Comets signed earlier this year. But with his skills with the ball at his feet could see plenty of time in goal for the Comets once he's had more time playing the indoor game.
The Comets other signing is known for both his play and his coaching, Nate Houser. Houser attended Baker University, then was drafted by the Wichita Wings in 93 before being traded to the KC Attack. Houser spent 11 seasons with the Attack/Comets. After the Comets went on hiatus, Houser became the head women's coach at his alma mater and later became the men's coach as well. While Houser is certainly not in the prime of his career he brings a lot of experience for the Comets.
Boris is probably going to be REALLY good a year from now with the Comets.
