The Comets announced today two more signings to the team that will see the return of the Comets to the KC area. The two newest players are both Brazilians, Geison Moura, a midfielder who played indoor for the Rockford Rampage last year and is currently a member of the NSC Minnesota Stars in the USSF Division 2, Moura has appeared 12 times, scoring 1 goal and getting 1 assist for the Stars this season. The other Brazilian is Luis Guilheme Navega Dias, or Tiguinho, who last played in the US for the New Jersey Ironmen of the old XSL. He's currently playing for a Brazilian second division team in Rio.
This past weekend, the Comets hosted their open tryouts at the KC Soccer Dome. The team had 53 players tryout for the team and four of those players have been invited back to an invitation only tryout Wednesday and Thursday from 9am to noon. The four players invited back were Nick Russo, Nick Baum, Jon Calfas, and Rohan Fellows. Congratulations to those four and good luck in trying to earn one of the remaining 16 roster spots for the Comets.

Geisen looks like a player. Nice pickup. His NSC Stars team plays in the playoffs this week.
