Today the Missouri Comets announced the signings of their first two players, goalkeeper Danny Waltman and forward Worteh Sampson. Waltman played at the University of Washington before hoping around a few other indoor teams around the US, including the Chicago Storm, Detroit Ignition, and Rockford Rampage. Waltman was MVP of the XSL in the 2008-2009 season with Detroit. He certainly gives the Comets a good start in the back it would seem, a good way to start building the team. Below is a highlight video of Waltman.
Sampson is a forward that has also played with the Ignition after he got out of college. The Liberian Sampson is 6'3" a good target striker size and could certainly give the Comets an advantage. Sampson has most recently been playing with the Charlotte Eagles of USL-2.
