Last night after Chivas de Guadalajara qualified for the Copa Libertadores final, Futbol Red broke news on a potential new signing for the Wizards. With Chivas now in the finals they'll be wanting to hold onto Omar Bravo for the final. But Futbol Red is reporting that the Wizards have switched focus a bit to Colombian 24 year old Dayro Moreno. Moreno is currently playing in Colombia for Once Caldas after spending time with Steaua Bucuresti in Romania. Moreno also fills a need the Wizards desperately need, as he can play attacking midfielder or as a second striker. The team hasn't had a true attacking central midfielder since Preki retired. He's also young being only 24 and is getting caps for the Colombian national team. Now obviously if the Wizards are after this guy there has to be some bad news, which is that he's also wanted by Boca Juniors. Hopefully the Wizards can offer him enough that he comes to KC, because he looks like a great talent.
Below are some highlights, including his first international goal for Colombia.
