That's the word tonight from Wizards president, Robb Heineman according to Twitter. A couple minutes ago Heineman announced that the Omar Bravo deal is finally done. He states that Bravo will start with the Wizards in the 2011 preseason. Thus brings an end to one of the most expected moves in Wizards history.
It's been almost a month since Chivas posted the news on their website that Bravo was coming to KC. Since then, it's been a lot of one sided news from south of the border, with most of the news focusing on when Bravo would join the Wizards. Those rumors about him finishing the Apertura season with Chivas have turned out to be true. It'd have been nice if the move had happened for this season to try and solve the Wizards scoring problems, but I guess we'll have to wait until 2011 to see Bravo play. The Wizards still have 2 open roster spots to bring in players from outside MLS. We'll see if they fill those spots.
