Espinoza Sits as Honduras Goes Out
Honduras didn't score a goal in the 2010 World Cup, but they did come away with a point in their final group play game, a 0-0 draw with Switzerland that also put the Swiss out of the tournament as well. Wizards midfielder/defender, Roger Espinoza spent the entire 90 minutes on the bench after starting Honduras' previous two games. Honduras became the first CONCACAF team to be eliminated from the World Cup as they finish at the bottom of Group H with 1 point. Still Espinoza had a solid game against Chile in Honduras' loss. His game against Spain was not as good, but then again none of the Honduran team looked particularly good in that game. Espinoza will now return to the Wizards, but I don't expect him to be back on the field in a game probably until July 10th against Chivas.
