Athletics Fall in Open Cup

The KC Athletics were the only KC area club to qualify for the 2010 US Open Cup, but that run ended early this year as the Athletics fell 4-2 in Minnesota tonight to the NSC Minnesota Stars. Stephen Hoffman and Kyle Perkins scored the Athletics two goals. Former Wizards players Scott Vermillion and Ryan Barber started for the Athletics. Other former Wizards that were part of the team, Brian Roberts and Boris Pardo did not travel.
