Former Wizards Update (UPDATED)

The former Wizards updates continue, although the numbers will start to get a little smaller now as the "fall to spring schedule" clubs end their season. The big news this week is that Herculez Gomez has made the US 23 man roster for the World Cup after scoring a goal yesterday in the USA's 4-2 loss to the Czech Republic in Connecticut. Eddie Johnson though was not as lucky as he missed the cut. Also joining the list now it Mauro Fuzetti who is back playing with the Michigan Bucks. I've also updated the Wizards registry with Jamar Beasley on the list now, Igor Kostrov updated, along with Gomez's club. Remember I'm always looking for updates on where players are, so please feel free to comment or email me if you know where former Wizards are. Here's the rest of this week's update.

  1. How long was Burpo on the KC roster? Because I don't remember that.

  2. I'm not sure of the exactly length of time. When I put my initial list of former Wizards together, I used the Wizards all time roster in the 2008 media guide to put it together and he was listed in there. I've been unable to find full information, my guess is he sat the bench as an emergency keeper in like 2001 or 2002 when Meola was with the US mens' team and Oshoniyi was starting.

  4. Anon, check out the registry, he's currently an assistant coach at Wake Forest for the mens' team.
