The Wizards don't have an MLS game this weekend, but it certainly won't be an off weekend for the team. KC makes their way to St. Louis for the second league of their home-home series with AC St. Louis. The Wizards lead the series 2-0 on aggregate after winning the first game two weeks ago. Tomorrow it should be a split squad playing against ACSTL, as the team also has a game against the University of Evansville the same night. That would make it likely that KC will put a more first team lineup out against the USSF Division 2 side. I would expect a few changes though, as a few players are carrying some knocks and I don't expect them to play. The highest profile of those is Ryan Smith who I don't see being risked in this game. One of the games should give me and other KC fans heading to the game a chance to see Sunil Chhetri for the first time in person, which should be nice to see.
Overall, AC St. Louis is still in preseason, they've recently been playing some college teams, beating Western Illinois and tying St. Louis University. I wasn't really impressed with them the first time they played KC. They were organized on defense, but going forward, they were anemic, as Jimmy Nielsen was little more than a spectator in the first leg. Unless something changed in the past few weeks I'm not sure I'll be seeing much more tomorrow, but who knows as a semi-decent crowd at Soccer Park could see a bit of a different result. Personally I think 2-0 again seems like a good guess on the score. I'll go with Teal Bunbury and Zoltan Hercegfalvi with the goals.
I will be providing updates for both the first team and the reserve game via twitter.
