Current and Former Wizards Honored
One current Wizard and two former Wizards will be honored later this week for their contributions before coming to the Wizards. Jack Jewsbury, Mike Sorber, and Matt McKeon have all been named to St. Louis University's Half-Century Team as the Billikens celebrate 50 years of soccer at the university this year. The 50th anniversary team will be introduced this Saturday while Jewsbury and the Wizards are in LA to take on Chivas USA. While Jewsbury is still playing, both Sorber and McKeon have retired from playing. Sorber is now an assistant for the US Men's National team and will likely be down in Miami training with the US national team as they prepare for the World Cup qualifier against Honduras. As for McKeon, last I knew, he was back in St. Louis coaching for Scott Gallagher SC. Congratulations to Jewsbury, Sorber and McKeon on this honor.
